The machine gun turrets in the center feel like they should be important to the flow of the gameplay but really they’re just totally useless.

It’s fun to drive a Warthog around but when you inevitably get shot to pieces by a hundred DMRs you’re kind of left to just shoot people across the map with your own (or occasionally launch yourself off the gravity lifts if you’re feeling suicidal). Tempest has a weird design in my opinion. The small cave in the water is pretty neat though. It’s just kind of ok in my book, but I’m never thrilled about playing on Battle Canyon. The elevated rock in the middle is just kind of awkward and the bases aren’t really fun to fight people in due to their narrow design (unless you’re bouncing a grenade launcher shot off the walls, which is always a blast). It’s incredibly small, which is good if you like fast-paced action but it’s almost claustrophobic at times.

I like the concept though – a frozen prison in space is a pretty cool idea and it definitely doesn’t look bland.Ī lot of Halo fans love Battle Canyon and all its previous iterations, but I just don’t get the same enjoyment out of it that other people seem to get. Even after playing on it loads I feel like I don’t fully understand its layout, and navigating it can be confusing. There’s always something blocking your sightlines and the corridors are super narrow. It’s so compact yet so tall that fighting people is pretty difficult at times. Its verticality is a bit too extreme in all honesty. It has so many different levels yet it feels like one of the smallest maps in the game. I know some people love the original Hang ‘Em High map from Halo: CE, but I really don’t like this remake of it at all. I also prefer my 8v8 maps to have vehicles on them, so whenever this pops up in Big Team Battle I get a bit disappointed. It essentially becomes a game of shoot people across the map or risk running through the middle, a gambit that will almost certainly result in the player’s swift demise. The weird cover on the ground doesn’t feel satisfying to play around and the high ground offers way too much of an advantage in a game where DMR’s are often the starting weapon. I’m not really a fan of High Noon, or any of its previous variations for that matter. It’s definitely forgettable and doesn’t really add anything significant to Reach’s assortment of maps. The rest of the map just feels a bit uninspired especially as this is a DLC map that came right after we already got a better space station map in Anchor 9. The low gravity zone in the middle is interesting as it connects to all 4 corners of the map, but combat in this area is sometimes awkward and floaty.

The sights outside the windows are really cool, but they’re only a distraction really. It doesn’t feel bad to play on but I can’t help feeling like this map is one of the lesser maps in Reach.

That pretty much covers everything, so let’s go! I haven’t included any forged maps like The Cage, Hemorrhage or Paradiso individually, as these are technically maps created on another map. I thought it would be fun to compare all the Reach maps and put together this ranking, so here it is! Bear in mind, these are just my opinions, and I’ve ranked the maps based purely on how much I like them, not how good they are for competitive play or anything like that (although a well-balanced map is good for all players, casual or competitive). It’s one of my favourite games ever, and it also features some of the best multiplayer maps in the Halo series. Lists all the scripted objects of that map, and allows you to destroy and create them.I’ve played a lot of Halo: Reach.

:p The source files are included, aswell as notes telling you how to use the application properly, but you will need 7Zip, or a program that reads 7Zip to unlock them. I\'m going to think of it as \"Forge Jr\". Here\'s the premise, the way I see it: Load up the program, then load up Halo: Combat Evolved or Halo: Custom Edition.

It\'s not a map editor, so you shouldn\'t download it expecting to find one. It allows you, to spawn objects in-game, that are scripted on the map that you happen to be using. :) It basically does what it says on the tin.

Notes and source code are provided showing were these functions reside and how they are used in haloce1.09 Well this is something a bit different. From halo ce\'s object_create function, which work in both games.
